To all whom these presents may come

Greeting:-- Know ye that, on the day and date above written, I Brigham Young, Trustee in Trust for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, hereby appoint and constitute the Hon. William H. Hooper, the present Delegate in Congress from the Territory aforesaid, my true and lawful Agent for me and in my behalf and stead, as Trustee in Trust aforesaid, to receive, receipt for and pay monies, to transact and adjust business, to draw drafts and generally to attend to such business duties as may be devolved upon him, as Agent aforesaid, to the same effect as if I was personally present and did it myself--
