Dear Brother
Bro. Danl. H. Wells has sold, to Bro. George Rowley, Lot 1, Block 53 in the 11 Ward, and the half Lot immediately west designated as Lot 2, same Block. In consulting the plat at the Recorders, I find that Lot 2 Block 53, is recorded in the name of Israel Whiton, who, it appears, has not transferred it, nor any portion of it, to any one else. Bro. Wells is of the opinion that the Church Bought the East half of this Lot of you, or perhaps the whole of the Lot, his memory does not serve distinctly on the subject. Please inform us of the exact disposition of the Lot. If it belongs to the Church, we want a transfer of it immediately if you can possible attend to it.
