In reply to yours of the 20th ult., I have to inform you that I received your former note, and at once caused a notice to be inserted in the Deseret News (which circulates throughout the Territory) informing Mr. Robert Owens of your wish to communicate with him touching the estate in question. Presuming that the course above named would best meet your views, will readily explain why I did not answer your former letter in the usual manner.

Your having received no communication from the Mr. Owens you inquire after, leads me to suspect that he is not here; he certainly is not, so far as I am aware, or have as yet learned by inquiry. Lest he might be here, I shall, in next weeks issue of the 'News,' insert another notice again calling Mr. Owens' attention to your wishes.
