Sir:--

I improve the earliest opportunity to inform you that I have no recollection of ever having seen your brother John, either here or elsewhere; neither do I meet with any one who is or has been acquainted with him, With the view to further oblige you in the matter, I have inserted in the Deseret News an enquiry for your brother's whereabouts, with the request that any one having the desired information will furnish it to you at the earliest practicable date.
