Dear Brother:-

Yours of the 17th inst. is at hand, and I am pleased with its contents. In regard to the road, there is no necessity for being in any hurry about it, and it should not be permitted to interfere with other important and necessary labors and duties.

I do not at present know when I shall be able to take a trip to your and other settlements south of this City, I have just returned from Cache Valley, have not since then been very well, and do not expect to be in a hurry about another journey.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
