Mr. Stephen Nixon,

Dear Brother,
I received your note in relation to your presiding at Silver Creek, building a school house &c, which I read to the President. If the brethren of the settlement wish it they are at liberty to choose you to preside over them to build a school house and to do any other good thing that they may choose. You should select a central place for your school house which will best accommodate the Settlement,

Do all the good you can and be careful to do no evil,

Your Brother in the Gospel of Christ
