Sir:-As the appropriation for defraying the expenses of Indian Hostilities in this Territory in 1852 was paid on the Territorial Treasurers draft by the Secretary of the U.T. Treasury: I herewith enclose you my draft in your favor upon the Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, for the amount appropriated by Congress this Session, to refund to the Territory for expenses incurred in the suppression of Indian hostilities in 1853. I also enclose Frances H. Wootton's Secretary of the Territory, certificate of my appointment as Territorial Treasurer. If it is necessary to certify to my signature I presume you are familiar enough with it to give affidavit
