Prest. Cannon,

Dear Brother
I have been to see Mr. Robert Newman of 42 James St., Oxford St., about the legacy of Mary Greaves. He informs me that it was a failure. They tried for it and spent a good deal of money after it, but have no hopes of getting any part of it. I gave him the address of Daniel Greaves and he promised to write to them and explain the matter

Yours Faithfully

(signed) John Cook"
