Elder C. C. Pendleton,
Parowan, U. T.,

Dear Brother:-

Thanking you for the kind offer in your note of the 6th inst., I hasten to inform you that we are extending br. Hanks such facilities as are reasonably at our command to enable him to successfully manufacture cotton yarn and cloth, for which reason it will best accommodate us for you to permit your interest in the shop and water power <to> remain as it is for the present.

In regard to the Church moveable property in or around the shop, so far as br. Hanks has no use for it, you will further oblige me if you will see that it is properly inventoried and cared for by Bishop Warren, that it be not wasted or destroyed; also let br. Warren keep an account of such of said moveable property as br. Hanks may wish to use, if any.

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young

P. S. Let the property you mention belong to the Church, and let br Hanks use it.
