Dear Brother:

We are ever desirous of aiding in the immigration all in our power, but at present we have not money either here or at Liverpool to use for that purpose; and as only money will answer from Liverpool to Florence, we are unable to extend a helping hand beyond the frontiers. So far as the brethren deposit money in this Office, that far we can accommodate them with a draft on the Liverpool Office.

We will receive an ox from Sister Martha Blackham to apply on her indebtedness to the P. E. Company for her immigration, at such price as it may be appraised at when it reaches here. Should the ox be in condition for beef, and you soon meet a good chance for sending it before it shrinks, it may be well to forward it at once, otherwise sister Blackham had better winter it and forward in the Spring, for cattle, other than those fit for beef, are of no use to us until another season.
