Elder Milford Bard Shipp,
Edinburg, Johnson County, Indiana,

Dear Brother:

A few brethren have been selected to go on missions, and the Spirit has dictated that you be also included in the number called to go to Europe, which we trust will fully accord with your feelings in relation to taking an active part in the great latter-day work in which you have been enlisted. Your Uncle Moses F. Farnsworth will bear you this letter and your Elders certificate, and expects you to accompany him to his field of labor, which will make your trip to Liverpool mutually agreeable, where you will report yourselves to the Presidency there.

Praying that this mission will prove acceptable and that you will be abundantly blest in accomplishing it we remain.

Your Brethren in the Gospel,

First Presidency

Heber C. Kimball
Daniel H Wells
