Br Lyman L. Wood

Your letter of the 11th inst. is to hand, but too late for me to do anything about the matter.

The mail East is stopped at present on account of moving stock, &c., from the South Pass route to the Bitter Creek route, altering the line between Bridger and Denver; and telegraphing, even if it succeeded at this late date, would be very expensive.

All circumstances considered I think the best plan is to send by some one who is going and returning next season, for which reason I inclose your order [?] Mr Beck, his letter to you, your two 3c stamps, and the $11.00 you sent.

Your Brother in the Gospel
