Dear Sister.

The Hon. J. M. Bernhisel informs me by letter

that he has collected from N. W. Stokes, Esq., $320 63/100 for you, which amount I will endeavor to pay you here and at the Tithing Office in Provo in money and such articles as you may have to purchase from time to time, arranging to meet your wants and wishes in the matter so far as I may be able.

As I start to day on a visit to our southern settlements, to be absent some six weeks, and take nearly all my clerks with me, there can be nothing done about the payments until my return, which I trust will make no material difference with you.
