Mr. Wm. Perkins,

Dear Brother:

I would be very much pleased to purchase your lot near the Theatre, with the improvements thereon, as I wish to use it for public purposes, and would be pleased to have you inform me your price for the same. If you wish to get another place in the City, or elsewhere, it will give me pleasure to secure, if in my power, such a one as would suit your desires. I also want your son in law's portion of it, and furnish me the price and authority to take possession of it immediately. If you have rented out till spring I have no objections to you collecting and re(taini)ng the rents.

We are all well, and quiet being in the City. We have had some sickness but [word cut off] pleasant change in the weather has made it more healthy and the sickness has b[word cut off] turned away, for which we are thankful.
