Sir:

In reply to your note of the 16th ult., it will cost each adult person about twenty dollars from Lowell to Florence, Nebraska Territory, and about fifty dollars from Florence to this City. It is expected that, as heretofore, ox trains will be sent from here to Florence, to bring the poor across the plains. Those trains will be in Florence on or before the first of July next in readiness to load and return, and persons who are then there, and unable to pay for their transportation, are brought by them, and pay here as soon as they become able. I do not know the address of Alexander Fleming.
