Dear Brother:

There are so many ways requiring use for the money I receive that I cannot, at present, venture to promice to pay money for cotton. If it will meet your plans I will allow you fifty cents a pound for good, clean cotton delivered at my factory on Big Canon Creek, and will pay you for it in Cotton Yarn and cloth, as soon as I can. If you can afford to accept my proposition You will be thus much aiding home supply in the exchange of kind for kind, and will oblige,

Your Brother in the Gospel,

Brigham Young
