Dear Sir:--

If you expect me to have anything to do about furnishing grain for the Overland Mail Co., this season, I wish you to furnish me all requisite facilities in time to enable me to contract for grain and hauling to the best advantage the market will permit, the hauling all to be done before rough weather next Fall.

Oats are now bringing $2 75/100 a bushel, and probably both freight and grain will be much enhanced in price by the mining operations north and west of Utah.

Your attention to the foregoing request, in due time, will oblige,

Your Friend
