This is to Certify that Elder John Riggs Murdock has this day been ordained as Bishop to preside in Beaver City and throughout Beaver County and is appointed to take charge of the Tithing and also the Presidency there until further orders.

We desire the Saints among whom he is appointed to labor to give heed to his teachings and to obey and honor his counsels as a man of God in all matters pertaining to his Office and calling.

We pray God the Eternal Father to bless Bishop Murdock with wisdom and every qualification necessary to nable him to magnify his Office and calling acceptably to our Father and God and satisfactorily to his brethren.
