Elder Wm. H. Miles,
Box 3957 Post Office, N. York.

Dear Brother

Enclosed I forward you a copy of a letter which I have received from Bro. Reese,, President of the N. Y. Branch of the Church, and a copy of my reply to him. The correspondence explains itself sufficiently to obviate further explanation. I furnish you with it that you may know the influence that is at work in the midst of the N. Y. Branch, and thereby be prepared to guard against it and prevent the spread of a Spirit of disaffection among the officers and Saints.

You had better counsel Elder John Milton to confine him to his own field of labor and to keep out of the Branches of the Church.

With love,
I remain Your Brother in the Lord

Brigham Young
