Bishop A. P. Winson,

Dear Brother:

I understand that Father Rhodes has been disfellowshipped in Your Ward for breaking a local law connected with your field. Father Rhodes has been a long time in the Church and has never been brought to trial before any of the Authorities for any cause until he was brought to trial before you. I regret that any thing should have occurred that, in your estimation made such a trial necessary. You had better suspend all further proceedings in the case, and restore him to fellowship, and let it thus remain until you hear from Brother Erastus Snow, who will visit you and investigate the matter at his earliest convenience.

With love I remain
Your Brother in the Lord

Brigham Young
