Mr. John E. Evans
Republican Office, Omaha, N. T.

Sir:

Your letter of the 15th ult. in reference to the emigration of some flies from Omaha and your being a guide to them, has just come to hand.

If you should come here with the determination of behaving yourself, and that when you do come here, will conduct yourself with propriety, I have no objections to your coming. Your better way to come here will be to cross the plains with other travellers who may be coming and travel along with them.

I remain
