John Lambert,
Rhodes Valley,

Dear Brother:-

Your favor of March 9th, on the subject of purchasing my Fanning Mill which was left with you by Bro. Walton's man, was duly received.

This Fanning mill I knew nothing about until I received your letter. It and other things that were with it were taken without my being asked upon the subject, and I could not tell what had become of them, as those who took did not stop to borrow them or to consult with me about taking them. I would like to get them back, as I need them in my Mill, but I will let the business stand until I see Bishop Wm. W. Cluff, who will arrange it for me when he goes over there again.

I remain as ever Your Brother in the Lord,

Brigham Young
