We are very happy to learn that R.,G. Sneath, Esqr. of San Francisco is about to establish a mercantile business in Callville on the Colerado River with a view of opening up business between Utah and San Francisco, the success of which we are much interested in, as it will very much benefit our settlements, and contribute greatly to our commercial interests, and would therefore recommend our merchants to consider the propriety of aiding in opening up trade in that direction, as soon as practicable.

Signed) Brigham Young

This was endorsed on a document signed by California Merchants, recommending R. G. Sneath to the consideration of our merchants here.
