Mr. Geo. B. Waldron:

Dear Sir,

As you are upon the eve of your departure for the Eastern States, I take pleasure in expressing the satisfaction with which your deportment and conduct have inspired me during my acquaintance with you. It is now upwards of six months since you were engaged as the leading male actor on our stage, and during that time you have conducted yourself, so far as I have had opportunities of judging, in an exemplary and gentlemanly manner, winning the esteem and good feelings of those with whom you have associated.

May prosperity attend you in your future career, and should you, in your travels meet with any of my friends, the members of our society, any favors they can extend to you will be appreciated by

Yours truly

Brigham Young
