Dear Brother:-

Months ago I asked Bp. John W. Hess to re-emburse you for the Cow you say Bp. Nichols of Brigham City drove to this City, and turned over to the Church, with other stock. I told him to arrange the matter with you either on your tithing or by turning you over another Cow of about the same value. It seems that Bp H. has not attended to this matter else you would not trouble Bp. N. with so many messages, as he
alleges, threatning to prosecute him.

Any one acquainted with Bp. N. must be satisfied that he would not intentionally drive off a Brother's animal. Please show this to Bp. Hess who will no doubt arrange the matter at once.

Respectfully Yours &c

A. Milton Musser
