Mrs Louisa Johnson,

Dear Sister:

I paid Mr Johnson for the property which I bought of him, and paid him well at the time of the purchase, and therefore consider myself free from all obligation to do anything more in the premises. You have had a home in my house ever since I purchased, and I am sure that if it had been your own, you could not have been less troubled about it, than you have been by me thus far.

As for Mr. Johnson giving you a share of his property, you can take the case before your Bishop, the High Council or the Courts whichever you please,

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
