July 3rd 1866.

Mr. A. Stein,
G. S. L. City,

Dear Sir:-

Your letter of yesterday's date, on the subject of obtaining a building for Post Office purposes, has been received.

I do not think of any building that I have that would answer your purpose, at least any building that I have not rented. How would you like the "Globe" house? There is a good well of water close by, and a yard and barn, if you should want them. The location that I think you need for the Post Office is some clear place, that is not too crowded, where women and children can go without annoyance, and yet be near the centre of business. The place that Mr. Bell had for the Post Office answered very well. I have rented the place to Messrs Eldredge & Clawson. You might be able to make an arrangement with them to get what you would want of the building. It is my intention to bring the building out in the front, and finish it in good style.

Respectfully,

Brigham Young
