Dear Brother:

Enclosed please find a draft for Five Thousand ($5000) Dollars on Messrs. Barney, Morgan & Co. New York, of the sending of which I advised you by Telegraph this day.

I send this money to free you from any cramp that you may be in, and to enable you to cover any orders of mine that you may have to fill. Out of this you can pay five hundred Dollars ($500.00) for the Clock and Bell for the City; and if the balance, whatever it may be, should be needed for the Emigration business, you can use it for that; but only in case of it being necessary.

With love I remain

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
