Bayard Taylor, Esq.,
Denver, Colorado.

Dear Sir:

Your favor of the 8th instant, on the subject of extending your journey to this City and delivering three Lectures: "The Arabs," "Life in the Arctic Regions," and "Russia and the Russians," has been received.

I have no doubt that very many of the people here, who have heard of your fame as a traveler and writer, would be glad to hear your Lectures. I cannot well say whether the trip would be remunerative or not, as you do not state what you would consider a remuneration for your time and trouble; but I venture the opinion that it would pay pretty well. Should you conclude to come on here, any aid that I can render you will be cheerfully extended.

Respectfully,

Brigham Young
