Dear Brother:

The bill of things which you sent up for was filled and sent down to you by Bro. <John P.> Chidester about two weeks ago. He had the bill of the articles, which he was instructed to hand to you. The "three locks or handles for double doors" were not sent down, as the description was not sufficiently clear to enable the young man in the Store to decide what kind of locks you really wanted. The oil that I send down to you is raw. I wish the Sash primed, and would rather that you would use raw oil, without turpentine, for that purpose than boiled. It will take a little longer time for them to dry; but it will be a much better job when done. Enclosed please fine a duplicate coy of the bill.

With love
Your Brother,

Brigham Young
