Elder E. Ward Pell

Dear Brother:-

The accompanying transfer covers the premises belonging to you in the 17 Ward which you have so generously donated to the Church. Bishop Edward Hunter directs me me to get from you a proper deed which the enclosed represents. I have made it out to Prest. B. Young personally, as, as you no doubt are aware, the Trustee in Trust dare nt hold or own property amounting in the aggregate to a sum of over Fifty Thousand dollars. The 600$ expresses a sum approximating to the value of the property -- There must be a consideration expressed in all conveyances of real estate. The transfer is made out according to our laws regulating such matters. You will please have the deed acknowledged before some Notary Public. Have it signed also by two competant witnesses. Cancel the Revenue Stamp by placing thereon the Initials of your name and the date of signing thus E. W. P. Nov. 1866, and then return it to me immediately.

You will be pleasured to learn that the health of the Presidency is good so too that of the community. In a day or two we are to have a grand Military review & parade of the Militia of this district. The weather is very fine. Have had considerable snow. Crops of cereals, vegatables fruits &c. very good -- will be pleased to see you, and all others whose feelings and interests are here, again in our midst.

Very Respectfully Yours &c.

A. Milton Musser
