Great Salt Lake City,
Dec. 29. 1866.

C. Prag Esq.
City,

Dear Sir:

Your favor of yesterday's date reached me to day. I was surprised to see your name attached to the Card which was sent to me, as I had always supposed that you were friendly in your feelings towards us, and at least were not inclined to ally yourself with our open enemies. There was no cause that I know of for you to sign that card; if there was anything said to the people about not trading with you, I was not aware of it. My sentiments ever have been what I have published in my reply to the Card, and also stated from the public stand last Sunday. If you wish to withdraw your name from that Card, you can do so in the Telegraph, and at the same time express your sentiments respecting the people here.

Respectfully,

Brigham Young
