To the Bishops of Utah Co.

Dear Brethren:-

Bishops Johnson and Miller, who took the contract of furnishing & putting up your stint of Telegraph poles, no doubt, would have had them all up in good season, but the Indian troubles, which made it dangerous for persons to enter Kanyons, and other circumstances, combined to hinder the completion of the work when it should have been done; until the lateness of the season compelled the contracting parties to offer extra inducements to complete the job. I myself let out to the Cazier Brothers of Nephi a job to build 16 miles of the line from Scipio North at 4.$ per pole. Fillmore and Nephi cities also put up several miles of poles, all on the Utah Co. Contract. This work was done after much snow had fallen and consequent difficulties attended the completion of the enterprise, so much so that it was about all we could do to finish it before the winter closed in upon us. I write this to show you that Bishops Miller and Johnson, in footing these bills, will be the loosers and I think they should be re-imbursed by the good people of Utah County.

Hoping that you will see this matter from the same stand point I do, believing it to be a correct one, and that you will govern yourselves accordingly

I beg to remain your brother in the Gospel

A Milton Musser
