Elder A.M. Musser.

Dear Brother:

Bro. E. Flavius Green has a Steam Saw Mill in Cache Valley, and he calculates to make considerable lumber this coming season. He wants to get some wheat for lumber. I would like you to look around and see what grain there is in the Settlements, and if we want lumber to build granaries with and for other purposes, and have to pay wheat out for it, we might as well let Bro. Flavius have it as any body else. If he could get the wheat, it would help him and give him a start. Of course, if he obtains any, he should take it at the most distant Settlements.

Your Brother,
Brigham Young
