Dear Brother:

Your letter dated March 25th. on the subject of your standing in the Church and the action that has been taken on your case, has been received. Whatever faults the brethren who are in authority where you live may have, I cannot think for a moment that they would be guilty of doing you any injustice in cutting you off, or disfellowshipping you without a cause. If you possess a humble, meek spirit. -- I am convinced that by stating your case in simplicity unto them, and expressing your willingness to comply with their decision, they will render you full and complete justice. My counsel to you would be, to go to them in this manner, and comply with the requirements which your brethren make upon you and obtain your standing as a Latter-day Saint.

With love,
Your Brother

Brigham Young
