Dear Sister Goldsborough:

I have had a letter form your husband, Henry Goldsborough, in which he states that if you prefer to live alone rather than with any other member of his family, he will arrange it so that you can do so, and that he considers himself abundantly able to provide for and to sustain you comfortably. My counsel to you would be that you change your feelings respecting a divorce, and that you go and live with your husband. He seems manifest a good and kind Spirit both in his letter and in the conversations

I have had with him; and he seems also to entertain warm feelings for you, which you should reciprocate.

Your Brother
