Dear Brother:

Your letter of May 19, on the subject of your emigration to this valley, has been received. We are not rendering any assistance to the poor saints this season. We do not know what changes may occur between this and next year; but it is probable that teams will be sent down again next year to bring up the Saints from the Frontiers, who are destitute of means. In such case you would have to raise the needed means to bring you to the terminus of the Rail Road, or to the point to which the teams would go to meet the people. You should keep up a correspondence with Bro. William H. Miles, whose post office address in New York is box 3957. He will be able to inform you whatever movements are being made, and could probably counsel you, should you need it, in relation to your movements. Every thing is peaceful here, and good health prevails. We are troubled with high water this season; but the prospect for crops is tolerably good.

With love, and praying the Lord to bless you and aid you in your deliverance and in emancipating yourself from Babylon

I remain
Your Brother
