President Ezra T. Benson,
Logan, Cache Co.

Dear Brother:

One of the brethren from Cache Valley has stated to me, in answer to my inquiry as to reason why he and the other brethren who came down to receive their second endowments did not bring their wives with them, that you told him it was not necessary for them to do so, as the husbands could give their wives their anointings themselves, and that I or Bro. Kimball had told you so.

I have no recollection of ever making such a remark myself, or of hearing it made, and would be much obliged if you would let me know from whom you heard it.

Do not send up any more men here, only as we notify you.

Times are quiet in the City. The water in Jordan and in all the creeks in the county is very high. The refreshing rains we have had, followed as they have been by the warm weather of the past few days, have made vegetation grow very rapidly.

There has been nothing new for the past week from San Pete. I have invited Bro's. Hyde and E. Snow to accompany me on my trip next September to your Valley and to bear Lake Valley, and Bro. Hyde has replied that he will arrange matters to be with us.

With love, and praying the Lord to bless you

I remain
Your Brother,

Brigham Young
