Bishop Edward Hunter,

Dear Brother:

As I will be absent from the City tomorrow, I wish to mention our wants to you, that you may take the necessary steps to lay them before the Bishops and the people at our public meeting.

To push forward the work on the Tabernacle in a proper manner we want the Wards to raise -as soon as the laths get here, which will be in two (2) or three (3) days -- about fifty (50) men to lath and plaster and attend masons. We wish you and the Bishops to be spirited in this business, and not fail to lay it before the people in such a manner that it will be understood and the needed hands procured by the time they are wanted.

Get the brethren to preach on this subject if you do not take it up yourself

I wish you also to see that the money, which is to be sent to Brother H.B. Clawson on the Tabernacle account be forwarded immediately to him.

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
