Great Salt Lake City,
September 27th, 1867.

Mr. Thomas Smith
Auburn, Baker Co. Oregon.

Dear Sir:

I have heard nothing respecting the young man Parkinson about whom you wrote to me under date of July 31st. I wrote a letter to the boy's aunt, but have heard nothing from her, and do not know whether she received the letter or not. She may have moved away from the place where you wrote to me that she lived.

I have seen Joshua Parker and have given him your address. He has promised to write to you. His wife Druscilla is still living. They live in this city. A letter addressed to them here will find them.

Respectfully
Brigham Young
