Mr. S. P. Janowski,
P. R. Box 2198,
Chicago, Ill's.

Sir:

Your favor of September 19th, asking if we have any agents in New York or in Chicago with whom you can communicate in relation to coming out to this country, has been received. We have a number of elders at the present time laboring in various parts of the States, one of whom -- Elder John Brown, was in Illinois at the last advices we had from him. His addresses is Mr. John Brown, care of Mr. Benjamin Crain, Duquoin, Illinois. A letter sent to him to this address will find him, and from him you may learn many items that you may wish to know. If you wish to come to Utah this fall you can come by rail to the U. P. Rail Road terminus, and then take stage for this city. This is the most expeditious, and, of course, the most expensive way of travelling. It is too late in the Season to come as many do come--by private conveyance across the Plains.

Respectfully
Brigham Young
