Dear Brother:-- I am glad to hear of your good health and the prosperity of the Saints in your field of Labor. The brethren are at liberty to lay out a city at Cedar Springs taking the usual precautions against Indians.

It is truly gratifying to hear that the people of Scipio are satisfied with their Town lots and long may they remain so.

Go ahead and do all the Spirit of the Lord may dictate in improving buildings, farms, and stock, and above all suitable places should be erected for teaching the children in sunday and week day schools.

God bless you
Your brother in the Gospel

Brigham Young
