Dear Sir,
In reply to yours of the 20th ult. I respectfully wish to state that I cannot answer for the merits of your machine & therefore I cannot say how it would be likely to sell; its usefulness & economy would be its best recommendations.

The Sewing Machines mostly in use here are Singer's; Wilcox & Gibbs and Florence; and Wheeler & Wilson's. Agencies are established for Singers; Wilcox & Gibbs & Florence. To open a first class agency you might communicate with Messrs. Eldredge & Clawson; General Merchants; Salt Lake City.

S.L. City covers an area of about 10 square miles; its population is about 15,000.

respectfully yours
Brigham Young
