Yours of the 8th ult. has been received.

As I before intimated to you, I am not disposed to pay for the prosecution of a suit that I never authorized.

In order to ascertain all the facts in the case. I have made considerable enquiry & herewith send you copies of two statements received, which sufficiently speak for themselves.
