Dear Sir:-

Yours of the 31st ult. has been received.

We have an <no?> illustrated edition of the Book of Mormon. The present published edition is of a good readable type & the cost, including postage is $1.50. It is proper for me to say that the Bible of the Latter-day-Saints is the Old & New Testaments; the "Book of Mormon" is a history of the aboriginies of the American Continent which we believe because of its truth, but it is not our bible. The works explanatory of our faith, now in print, are the "Voice of Warning," "Key to Theology" "O. Pratts! Pamplets." "Answers to Questions." &c. the latter is <a> pamphlet recently <published> containing the revelation on Plurality of wives -- three discourses on that subject & a variety of useful information. The whole of the above mentioned books can be had in this City & forwarded to your address for about five dollars.

If you wish any, or all of the above books & will send an order for them, I will see that it is attended to.
