This is to certify that Elder Lester J. Herrick has been appointed Bishop of Weber County, and is authorized to take charge of all matters therein that pertain to this calling, to fill the place of the late Bishop C. W. West.

And we recommend the Presidents of Districts and the Saints throughout Weber County to sustain Elder Herrick by their faith and prayers, and to give diligent heed to his counsels as a man of God sent to preside as a Bishop over them.

And we pray God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, to bless Elder Herrick with wisdom and understanding, that he may be enabled diligently & faithfully, to perform all the duties and requirements pertaining to the Office whereunto he has been called.
