Yours of 9th inst is received. We shall do all in our power to pay off the indebtedness as fast as possible, but just at present I cannot pay off bro. Ricks. If you need some grain, it could probably be arranged for you to get some by getting an order from bro Farrell who is doing business for bro Ricks in his absence; - also a little meat, to help you for the time being
