Dear Sir:-

Yours of the 14th inst. has been received.

Since my last to you, my Clerk has examined the books of the "Deseret Irrigation & Navigation Canal Co." & reports a balance in your favor of $5010.27. There is therefore a discrepancy of $10.00 between your books & ours, a mere trifle, however, which can easily be adjusted when we have a Settlement.
