1870 March 3 Letter to Charles Fitch

Title

1870 March 3 Letter to Charles Fitch

Description

A brief summary is given of Oliver Cowdery's return to the Church. It is unclear if Fitch would succeed as a physician as there are dozens of doctors in Utah. The Saints gather for religious purposes not for financial gain.

Dear bro:-
Yours of 12th ult. was duly recd with accts from Ogden T. Office against contractors on the Utah Central. I took them to Asst Supt. Little who gave orders for all except J Tyrell $118.11 which he would not do now because he was apparently in debt. The remainder is covered with G.T.O. order #368 $2557.23 herewith enclosed.

The 56 Sks flour (had by 3 parties) belonging to B Young Sen. are duly credited to C.W. West -- leaving if I remember correctly 10-1/2 sks still due on the flour deposited with him by B.Y. Sen.

Yours truly
T.W. Ellerbeck
