Dear Sir:

Your letter of the 13th ult. was received on the 1st. inst. Prest Young is absent from home on a somewhat lengthy tour, but, upon inquiry I find that your former letter, also a copy of "The Emigrants Vade Mecum" were received, the receipt of which, the Secretary was instructed to acknowledge, but owing to a press of business he but lay that aside.

Prest Young thanks you for your offer, and the high opinion you entertain of our community, but he has no wish, at present, to purchase land in Venezuelan Gayanay
